Yea, I'm the first comment!! Well, you already know about my mother's day but I'll tell it again for the people who are trying to enter. This past mother's day Jason and I surprised our parents with the good news that we are expecting our second child in November (due date: Nov. 2). It was definately the best gift I could have given my mom. It was so wonderful to see their reactions.

Yesterday was my second mother's day with my little Alexander and it was great. First thing in the morning I woke up to little perfect kisses and then we headed to church. Alexander stayed in the nursery for the first time without me being called to get him. In their class they made a mother's day pictures and then each child got a little book to give to their mommy. Following church we went up to my grandparents house and had a family lunch and just relaxed. Later that evening my hubby treated me to a movie (Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which he would have never picked on his own) and nachos with cheese and salsa. For my mother's day gift I got Gardening tools so I can start my memorial garden for my two little angels!
It was a great day!

Hi Holly. I have been following your story for some time now. You inspire me to kep going no matter what happens. I can not imagine what you went through. I hope you had a good Mother's Day.

My Mother's Day was chaotic and hectic. I have a 2 weeks old baby girl, Cailye. And of course she was up at all hours of the early mornng. Then I have 2 older boys. And they woke up at 6 am I think. So no rest for momma! But when I get frustrated...I just look into their eyes and all is good in the world. This year my kids gave me a roses. 3 in all. One for each of them. Simple but yet so wonderful!

Right now I am currently going through a divorce and having to live with my parents for a while. I never knew how hard it would be with 3 kids and trying to work to get out on my own.

And I love the bracelet that was made for you with your angel's footprints. So precious. I have been looking for something similar to it for some time now. Well I'll let you go for now. Have a blessed day! Happy late Mother's Day!

I am glad that you got to sleep in and enjoy Carleigh on monthers day.I know she was there with you no matter if you couldn't see her and she was looking down and telling you "I love you mommy" I was looking forward in seeing Carleigh's head stone I am sorry maybe next time. My mother's day was great My kids made me a gift that was from the heart. A scrape book of all the years that has past. They started at the begining of each one of them and ending the book with their altra sounds with a saying "No matter how old we get we will always be the small child inside you" I really cried.

Love--

Hey! I hope you had a great Mother's Day. Mine wasn't the ideal Mother's Day but I am still grateful for it. My husband and two year old attempted to make me breakfast. It was good, but the mess made me crazy and I cleaned it up and continued to clean up after everyone for the rest of the day...isn't that what being a mother is all about (some days it feels like that.) Now I am just waiting for my "2nd Mother's Day" this month when the baby comes. Any day.... :)

My mother's day consisted of me going to church alone, but someone stuck a rose in my bookbag during the opening prayer, so that was neat! My kids got me two cards and two Sims 2 games (I like Sims 2 a lot and now have every expansion pack). At school my son made me a doll from two coffee filters and a wooden clothespin (it's cute!) and my daughter had made a keychain for me out of bright colored beads with M-O-M beads in the middle. My oldest son bought me a dozen red roses. I babysit my neighbor's little boy after school (he's in kindergarten) so she brought me roses too! My husband topped off the day by making me steak on the grill for dinner! ~Debbie

My mother's day was really simple. We don't do much since my birthday is tomorrow (the 12th) and I'll be 21. But Daniel woke up early with Lydia and let me sleep in as long as I wanted. They had decorated a cake for me. It was so cute!! He took charge of giving Lydia her bath and putting her to bed so I could just relax. It was a nice break from things since I am a SAHM.

My Mother's Day: I spent the morning at church worshiping my heavenly father. It was a great service as they always celebrate all the mothers! After church I took all my children to the park. We then went home and I had a relaxing rest of the day! Could not ask for anything more!

My Mothers Day was busy! But I enjoyed every ounce of it. Lauren woke up in a great mood, and David had gone out and gotten me Roses in the middle of the night and put them at my bedside (how sweet), he also got me a Lily to plant in our new house! We spent most of the day unpacking, however it was such a beautiful Day out, that Lauren and I just played in the yard. Just that 1 on 1 time with her is something I will always cherish!

Thank you for having this blog Holly! It is amazing where you have been and where you are going with this journey. You have touched so many in such a short time. I think about Carleigh alot...

My mothers day was not the best but... My daughter has special needs and was very whiny yesturday. My husband had surgery Friday so I was caring for him as well. I am so blessed though to have my daughter despite her needs. I also prayed for my SIL who lost her baby at 8 weeks earlier this week. I called her and checked in with her. My other SIL did ok though this was her 2nd MD without her 2nd child. She's expecting her third in December.
Thank you for this blog and God Bless!!

My mother's day was pleasant. My husband took me out (sorta) Saturday, without the girl for the first time since being a mom. I was a work function for him, but at least I wasn't having to tend to the girls while he had fun with his friends. We danced and did some kareokee (sp?) with some friends of ours.

As for actual Mother's Day, Bryan got up with Abigail (5wks today) when she woke for her feeding at 3:30 and 8:30 so I could sleep in. We planned on goingto IHOP, but didnt leave the house until 10, and they were SLAMMED. We went across the way to Applebees, and saw they didnt open until 11, so we went to the bank and then anoter Applebees. The workers saw us sitting outside from 10:30 on, and opened up 15 minutes early so we could come in and out of the sun and heat! He treated me to lunch, and then we came home, where I had a child-free day. I crocheted some blankets I'm going to be donating to the hospital. We met up with my older brother and his family, my younger brother, and my parents for a family dinner at Charlestons. We gave my mom a Shutterfly picture book I made of all the grandkids. Man, did she love that! The night ended with Bryan and I watching Yes Man. Bryan gave me a card, saying that he's sorry he couldn't give me a gift to show his appreciation for all that I do due to a few unexpected bills, but I will get a few shortly. The card was more than enough though!

Happy belated Mother's Day!

What a wonderful and generous giveaway. I am so excited about this! I'm already a follower, so I will just share my Mother's Day with you:

My Mother's Day was lovely. We began the day doing the children's worship music at church, like most Sunday mornings. James, Timothy, (with Dad's help!) made me a sweet Mother's Day Card and James gave me his homemade gifts consisting of a plant and a flower magnet with his picture in it. All mothers received a carnation at church courtesy of the Right to Life organization. After church, we went to get the Legion Chicken Barbeque (my favorite!). When our tummies were good and full, we changed our clothes to go golfing! Despite the fact that I golfed my worst game in history and James (my 8 year old) severely beat me, it was a great time. I took a little nap when we got home. And, I awoke to find my kitchen had been miraculously cleaned and supper was being served. Delicious grilled cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and sweet corn. Yum...thanks honey. We topped it off with another of my favorites - strawberry shortcake! I felt very loved and cared for by my men. It was a huge blessing. It was a day filled with my favorite things and spent with my favorite people...on this earth. In the evening there was a little time for reflecting, remembering, and praying for the mothers who are missing their sweet babies. Mothers who are never far from my mind...and always on my heart.

Love to you...thanks so much for blessing a mommy with this amazing gift. You are so sweet.

Hi Holly!
All Mother's Days are a little bittersweet when one of your babies is in Heaven. But my lovely 3 children here are such a blessing!
My mom spent the night with us and went to church with us so that was special. My youngest, Wilson, is 4 and he and the other little kids his age sang a song at church, up in front on the stage. So funny!
I met up with some girls from high school, then we cooked out at my mom's house. The kids played, I got a little nap....nothing too fancy, but a pretty nice day!

I follow your site as well.
My mother day: I woke up had a sleep in as my husband got up with our two kids. I had breakfast and took myself to Alex's grave, (first time I have driven since he was born and first time I have been to the grave since he was buried) I had c-section not supposed to drive for 6 weeks. In three days it will be six weeks since he was born and died. After that we all went to church, spent the afternoon at home both kids they have colds and I went out for tea with my mum and family. It was a good mothers day considering it was my first since loosing Alex.

Thanks

My mothers day was quite wonderful. It start with my hubby keeping all three kids while I went to choir pratice. He never does this. It was so nice. Then We went to church for Sunday School and For service. My husband and my son left early to surprise me at church with my fav flowers, daisys and babys breathe in a beautiful vase with a dasiy on it and a ballon in the vase. It was awesome to have such a sweet surprise.

Sunday school was wonderful. The church gave all mothers lots of gifts from a carnation to book marks. During the serivce Preacher ask for the youngest, oldest, the one with the most natural born, and the one with the most kids of the mothers. It was nice to hear it all. Those mothers recived a free book. We also had a baby parade. I was able to be in it this year with two of my three kids. Its for kids 3 and under.

During Altar time I went to the altar with my baby. Thanked God for having her and then prayed for Holly as I knew she did not have the joy I had of holding her baby on mothers day.

Then it was home for lunch and back to church for the evening. It was a wonderful day!

Hey Holly. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. You are still in my thoughts and prayers and God bless you and your family. Yesterday my fiancee took the girls and I to the Columbus Zoo to see the baby elephant. On Saturday we got to celebrate my youngest daughter's 1st Birthday. It was exciting. Children are such a blessing and they are God's lil angels! God bless and take care!

This is such a neat offer that you are doing.
My mother's day was okay, I went to church with my husband, his mom, brother and sister. I was given a rose and a book of poems from the church for being the youngest mom there, so that was kind of cool. After church we went to his mom's for a cookout and took Ivy to the park.

I have been following your blog for the last 6 or 7 weeks and am constantly amazed at your strength, courage, and insight.
For Mother's Day, we had no electricity! Even our church service was done in candlelight. It was actually kind of nice not be distracted by all of our appliances and electrical gadgets - I just wish it would've been easier to cook our meals!
My older daughter made me a necklace and some earrings, oh and a bookmark too, out of her handprint. So sweet!
Holly, I hope that God continues to bless your family.

My mothers day was great....My church chose my grandma as mother of the year and she was completely surprised. My entire family was there for her (even the ones that dont attend church) She cried like crazy and so did I when I tried to talk about her. Then we went to my moms house and had a bbq and spent time together. When I got home my kids showed me all the homemade gifts that they made for me (pics are on my cafemom page) Then my hubby let me have an uninterupted (sp?) 2 hour nap...it was a great day and I felt so loved. Hope you had a good day holly.

I had a great Mother's Day. My hubby had to work, but I got to spend the day with my two beautiful children, Dale, who is 5 1/2 and Victoria, or Tori as we call her, who is almost 14 months. We started the day by going to church and then we just enjoyed the rest of the day with each other.

I'm a follower of course. My Mother's Day was special this year I think more so cause I recently just gave birth. My Hubby got up & fed the kids & then made me breakfast. We went to church & then stopped off & got the kids some lunch. Came home & just chilled out a little. The park we live beside has a small train that you can ride. Mom's get to ride free on Mother's Day & so did my little Carly. I came home & I fixed Pork Chops my choice while Dad spent sometime with Carly so I could get on my laptop for awhile. Called my Mom & sister since they live in Ohio. My kids that are in school made me things & gave those gifts to me. Dad made sure he had a card for each child to give. He knows I love cards & I should own my own card shop. All in all it was a great day. Children are such a wonderful blessing & all have there own little things that make each one neat. Happy Mother's Day Holly , you were on my mind alot yesterday. Prayers & Hugs Caroline
