A special gift

Today I received a special gift in the mail today from a special friend.

It's so uncanny how I met Christina. This could get kinda confusing so stick with me! Christina and I have a mutual follower, croleyc69. I know her through Cafemom. We were in the same due date group together and she, ironically, is due with a little girl named Carly. Well, one day Christina was checking who was following her blog and came across croley (Sorry to call you that but I don't think I've ever known your name! I just know your screen names. lol). She saw a link to my blog on her blog so she checked me out and read our story. It turns out Christina is also a member of Cafemom!

Here's where it gets even crazier! Christina's daughter has a rare chromosome disorder and she started her blog to share her journey with others like I have done. While we were corresponding by email she accidentally sent some of the emails that were meant for me to a different Holly. This Holly just happened to be my friend and our pastor's wife! Turns out Holly and Christina knew each other through a yahoo group for children that have the same chromosome deletion as Christina's daughter. What are the odds of all this happening, really? Seems God just wanted us to meet!

Thank you, Christina, for the gift!

Also, thank you Jen and Jenn for the books you sent me!

That just made me a little teary eyed. (and you explained it so well) I am still AMAZED at how that all happened. Enjoy the gift, when I saw it....I knew you just had to have it....especially since your blog is called Caring for Carleigh. It's like they made it JUST FOR YOU! ♥ I am glad I could be a part of your journey.

Isnt it amazing how God provides the perfect friends and just the right connections, especially when we need them most?!
I LOVE the song on your blog, "Glory Baby." I listened to it often during the months after my miscarriages, and it brought me a little bit of comfort during my grieving period.
I have been following your blog for the last 5 weeks but dont comment very much. Today I just wanted to say that I still follow, and read, and pray for you all the time! You have shown such courage and strength through these trials. Thanks so much for sharing your journey.

Sounds like you also have a great support system and wonderful people around you! Love the little figurine, my oldest daughter has the same one, but it is an E for Ellie! :)

To say that God truly works in mysterious and wondrous ways is really stating the obvious, especially in regards to that situation in which you came to find a new friend! God is amazing in His ability to put into place things and people who will meet us "where we are". And how loving He is to do that.

I think that is a truly lovely gift and, as your friend Christina put it, it seems as though it was designed and created just for you and Carleigh! It is truly a beautiful gift!

Me again! I edited my earlier post to include your mom. I promise I did not intentionally forget her! I want to make sure that you BOTH know how much I adore you and how special I think you are! Truly!!

Also, I wanted to let you know that what you said to my post about being anxious for me....I totally get that because that is EXACTLY how I felt when you were in the hospital with Carleigh. I was such a nervous wreck that I couldn't even concentrate on my work, much less anything else! I was constantly checking your blog, emails, everything...Looking for updates and praying so very hard for you all. So I know what you mean by that!
