Raffle Winner

Somehow my date got messed up on my ChipIn widget and the raffle ended early. No big deal! That just means I get to determine the winner of the captive opal necklace sooner!

For those who entered, your odds were very good because there were only 9 of you. Thanks so much! Between you all you raised $64, which will go to Sufficient Grace Ministries.

Here is the video of my husband, Anthony, drawing the winner! Don't mind me making sound effects. I do that often. lol

Congratulations to Joye at The Joyeful Journey! You won the necklace! Hooray! (Joye, after watching the video I realized I misspelled your last name. I missed a 'r'. Sorry! That bothers me because spelling is a pet peeve of mine. Just had to point that out since I noticed it.)

I will be sending the necklace out to you tomorrow to your Paypal address. If you'd prefer a different address, please let me know ASAP at caring4carleigh@yahoo.com

Again, thank you to all who participated!!

congrats Joye!! Holly I have to say when I heard you talk I was surprised. I expected you to have a prissy voice LOL. No offence =] You just surprised me! Loving the sound effects!

No offense taken Jessica! ;) It's funny how we all picture each other and then we are surprised when it's not what we thought! I actually have a deep voice. My voice on the video is a little higher than I normally talk IRL. When I get excited or real friendly I talk in a higher voice. When I'm casual it is lower. I can see where you might think I'd have a prissy voice. I think people might think smaller person=higher voice but that's not the case for me!!

Yay!! I'm glad that you had such a turn out. I had every intention of joining in and donating....and then I forgot. Seems if I don't write things down I tend to forget unless I do them right then and there....and it has only gotten worse since Noah's passing.

Kelly, if you read this, please let me know how to and I will definitely send a donation for your cause. It truly is a wonderful thing, the ministry you help provide.

HOlly, I read your comment today on my blog and I was moved to tears. It's true, our experiences are so very similar....and in a way they should be since most of "my" wonderful ideas came from you! :-) Everytime you share something about your time with Carleigh I am struck at our similarities....The funeral was such a very hard day...and, at the same time, I had such a peace that day and there were actually very few tears. The tears didn't flow so freely until the next day. And then they lasted for a few weeks.

I wish I could be more like you and just accept what has happened but it is so hard. I did always think that if something like this should happen to me that I would be so devastated and unable to cope...Turns out I was wrong on that though. God has been such a stronghold for me and has placed such amazing friends in my life through this in you, PJ, and Misty and now Jennifer too! I count myself so blessed to have you all as sisters in this journey and can only pray that we will continue to grow in our relationships as time goes on.

I love you all so much! God is good and He knew what he was doing when he put us in each other's lives.
