Giveaway #3

Giveaway #3 is for a handstamped charm by Janice from Pictures of Silver. Thank you, Janice!

This giveaway is a pretty neat one! Your child's actual footprint or handprint is stamped onto a .999 pure fine silver disc. Reference to the scripture Psalm 139 "I am fearfully and wonderfully made" is also stamped onto the disc. Your baby's name and birth date will be stamped on the back.

Janice creates her the fine silver by using a medium of recycled silver mixed with a clay binder. After firing the clay burns away, which leaves a higher percentage (.999) silver than sterling (.925) silver. The fine silver is slightly softer, whiter, does not tarnish as quickly, and is more costly than sterling

The disc is between 3/4"-1" in size and sterling bail is included with the charm. In addition to the charm, you will also receive the custom made clear rubber stamp of your child's footprint used to make the charm. This giveaway does not include a chain for the charm.

Please make note that it will take several weeks to complete this charm if you win so please be patient!

To enter this giveaway, leave me a comment telling me some of the little things about your or a loved one's baby/babies that makes them "fearfully and wonderfully made". For example, one thing that made Carleigh "fearfully and wonderfully made" was the hair on her head. Even though she was missing most of her skin and skull on top of her head, she still had a lot of hair! She had more than her big sister Kyndra when she was born. We were able to snip several locks for us to keep.

If you haven't read this post already, please do so that you know how I am running these giveaways.

I just went over to Janice's site...how wonderful that she is in the mission field. I just love that.

Matthew was wonderfully made because his very long body fit perfectly in my very NOT long body! He was 22 and a half inches and I am barely 59 inches! At his funeral, people could NOT believe how big his feet were! (Really, looking at pictures, no one can still!)
He was born one very, very tall little boy...to one very, very short mommy!

Gracie was born weighing only 1 pound 4.8 oz and she was several weeks behind on her growth due to her trisomy 18 which usually leads to low muscle tone. Well she had extremely muscular legs, like her big brother and dads. They are soccer players so I'm sure those genes were passed on to her. We were amazed that she also had beautiful tiny fingernails.

The charm is beautiful and Lori that is really cool that she is on the mission field. I also follow your blog, Holly.

Eli and Jett were missing alot of their skin and the skin that they did have was quite bruised but both of their hands and feet were perfect, pink and were very long, their feet were bigger then my friends 3month old babies were. The pictures that i have of their hands and feet are my favourite pictures i have.

There was many things that made our Nolan wonderful but one thing in particular that really showed he was trely our son. My husband has size 18 feet and Nolan had the biggest feet ever. He may have been 13 ounces but his feet were the size of a baby twice his size. I just smile when I think of that because it was one of the times Chris just looked at him and said... "that's my son"

I often struggle with that verse because he was "made" with a defective heart. I now understand it better but I wish more than anything else that he would have been "made" healthy. I trust that Gods plans are bigger than mine and that gives me comfort.

It's hard to think about Nate to describe something. I miss everything about him. I guess the thing that I loved most was that he had the same face as his brother. Every time I look a my now 7 year olds baby photos I can imagine what Nate would look like now. In some ways that is comforting but in others it is painful. I sure do miss that little guy.

Hugs,
Trisha

Ty and I laugh when remembering Bryston's size. For a 2.5 lb baby he was gigantic! He was so long and had enormous but slender feet. Ty and I said that he would have been one big boy had he made it to full term. And the hair our boy had was so thick! He even had sideburns! It was adorable! There was not one part of my boy that was not wonderfully made.

My triplets were fearfully but wonderfully made because even though they were born only weighing a little over a pound each, they were still perfect in my eyes. It was just amazing to know they all were formed from 2 cells...wonderfully made for sure!

Alex was born with Anencephaly, but he was 100% perfect, very tall. Lovely blue eyes and long legs.

What a beautiful keepsake! I wonder if she would do 3 charms...on for Faith, Grace, and sweet Thomas!!

Faith and Grace had tiny long fingers and sweet little lips, and adorable button noses. They were identical twins, but had personalities that were anything but identical...at least from what I could tell while they were in my womb. Grace was a little energetic spitfire and Faith was content to quietly suck her dainty thumb.

Thomas was beautiful with the most lovely sweet baby skin I have ever seen. He had the signature chubby cheeks and dark eyes (would've been brown like daddy's!)shared by all my babies. I loved his sideways pinkie toe, and his sweet baby hands. His beauty took my breath away...and all who met him agreed.

Thanks for the giveaways, girlie...what a fun way to celebrate sweet Carleigh! Thinking of her...praying for you...

When my daughter was stillborn due to anencephaly what instantly captured me was how beautiful she was. I had done google searches about anencephaly and the photos I had come across were a bit frightening. (I think those websites posted those photos to shock people but most babies I have seen with anencephaly dont look like that) I was scared that that was the image I would forever remember my child as. So I was stunned at how beautiful she was. She had the biggest lush lips I have ever seen. Her younger brother has them too and her sibling on the way as well (I saw it on the ultrasound). She actually looked like me..(not to sound vain) and that always meant so much to me since I was adopted and no one in my family ever looked like me. Her little feet and 10 perfect toes also captured me. So very tiny yet perfect. every single one of them. She even had my feet with the tall arches... not her fathers flat feet lol. I loved how perfect she was in her little sleeping state.

I just LOVE this give away! These stamped charms are so precious and a wonderful keepsake!

My son was born with a partially formed ear :) It did finish it's completion within a few months, but it had two extra ridges within in the ear, along with a divet in his lobe (that part has not grown in ) LOL

For as early as Juanito was he was perfect in every way. I could not believe the details of every inch of his body. I fell in love with the little wrinkles on the bottom of his right foot. It still had not straightened out yet and it had so many little creases on the bottom.

Sophia & Ellie were wonderfully made becuase they were mono/mono twins. This means they are identical, shared a placenta and were in the same sac. This type of twin is rare and comes along with a very high risk pregnancy. But I am often still amazed by my little miracles, even though they didn't survive. xx

I love how when I startle my baby when he's asleep, he opens up his fingers from a fist. And both my beautiful boys have eyelashes to their cheekbones.

I would have a hard time just picking one thing about Faith that was fearfully and wonderfully made! She was perfect on the outside. She was beautiful with blonde hair. You would never know that there was anything wrong with her. It was her heart that was broken on the inside.

One of the many things about Dylan that was wonderfully made was his beautiful eyes. I truly believe that eyes are the window to the soul, and in 6 short days, I knew Dylan's soul. He was an old, beautiful soul, who spoke to me through his eyes!

Ella was so beautiful..she lost alot of weight before she passed.but her cheeks remained chubby and oh so kissable.. I would just cry when I changed her, because she was so frail..so skinny.. but her little cheeks.. what a blessing..so all of her was fearfully and wonderfully made..but her sweet face, was just a sweet reminder that "I am okay, that she will be fine..this is just a temporary body"

How neat, I've not seen jewelry with your child's footprints on them before!

One of the things I remember most about Ethan is all the hair he had and that it was curly! One of my favorite photos is the back of his head in his Daddy's hands because you can see just how curly it is.

I didn't have the chance to meet my babies but I do know that because of the love shared between me and my husband and God that those little angels were perfect in their own way.

Wow, Janice is so talented. I loved her stuff and this giveaway is great.

Sami was wonderfully made even with her many defects. Faith (her wonderfully unfinished twin) had the most perfect little ear and eye ( wish I had a picture of that). Then Sami had the cutest little chin. The instant everyone seen her they were like "my goodness she has your chin." I used to hate my chin but now I am so proud of it because that is the one feature she got from her proud mom. Although her's was cuter because it was a little off to the side--I love that wonderfully, imperfect beautiful little chin of hers.

Thinking of you and sweet Carleigh.

Lilly's Mom (Desiree) said...

Ah. =) One way that Lilly was wonderfully made was that she had the most perfect, long fingers I've ever seen. Her skin was PERFECT. She was a beautiful masterpiece of our Saviour!!

This is so sweet - I love this way to enter the blog contest.

My Maddie had the most amazing fingers. She was so tiny, and her fingers were just so long and delicate. The first thing the doctor commented on was how beautiful they were.

I know my babies were fearfully and wonderfully made, but I never got to see them. So I'll tell you about my niece, Sophia.

Sophia had the most beautiful brown hair and blue eyes with the daintiest lips. When she was in the hospital before she died, she was so swollen and bloated from the iv and medication they were giving her to try to fight the meningitis. Even thought she did not live, the Sophia we said goodbye to looked exacstly like the healthy baby for two weeks - all the swelling went down. And she was beautiful.

Beautiful, what a wonderful giveaway. Peyton was "fearfully and wonderfully made" because even though she was very very sick, she had these real "old soul" looking eyes, that would stare at us for hours with such wisdom, and comfort us through the tough news that we kept hearing about her.

what a beautiful charm!!!! how amazing is the creativity that God has blessed His people with!!!!

ok, here's what made my peace so amazingly wonderfully made.... she was a snuggler! i am affectionate by nature and when hubby would put his hand on my belly, she would roll to it! and when she was born, she looked JUST like the big sister she never got to meet, and she fell asleep with her hands resting in THE SAME! position that i sleep in..... she was so perfectly handmade by an awesome mighty God!!!!

Despite my Karinne's acrania/anencephaly, at 28 weeks with her in my belly, I have learned that she truly is "fearfully and wonderfully made." We have been blessed to be able to see her on a 4D sonogram twice now and have marveled at the beauty of her sweet face and her dancing little feet. I love to feel her tiny dancer movements in my belly! I also love the way you have chosen to celebrate Carleigh's birthday. A beautiful tribute!

When Eliana was born still at almost 26 weeks, it was amazing what a beautiful, perfectly formed little girl she was, even though she was so tiny and so early. She only weighed 1 lb. 11 oz., but she had beautiful long eyelashes like both of her big brothers, her daddy's dark hair, sweet little nose and mouth, delicate fingernails and toenails, and cute little ears. She really was just perfect, so fearfully and wonderfully made!!

I hope I'm not too late to get in on this one - I love that charm with the footprints, I've been wanting to have one made with Freja's because my two year old snuggles on my lap every morning and holds/kisses my keepsake necklace that I got from a friend just after Freja passed away... So to have a charm with her actual footprints, a real 'piece of her,' would bring my children even closer to eachother.
After Freja's birth, I remember sitting in the NICU holding her and touching her soft skin which looked and felt no different that that of my other two children. I couldn't imagine that every cell which made up her body contained an extra chromosome. Looking at every inch of her beautiful body and trying to understand that she was not made to live in this world for very long because of that one extra chromosome has been very hard to wrap my mind around.

She was fearfully and wonderfully made in that she had long fingers and a strong grip. She touched so many people's lives in the little time that she had that I believe that was her purpose. My Faith in God is stronger than ever because of Lilly.

My daughter had blue eyes with a tad bit of gold in the center until she was about 3.5 years old. Then the gold spread out further leaving her eyes mostly gold (not brown) with a blue circle around the edge.

"I am fearfully and wonderfully made" is engraved on Janie Beth's headstone. It became her verse when we found out she had TD. It blows me away how God took such care to form her and mold her. He made her exactly the way He wanted. She was so cute!!! She had short pudgy fingers that couldn't even wrap around my pinkie. She had a little button nose and looked just like her big sister and little big brother. Her head was full of hair!!! It was beautiful. The funeral home director said that he brushed it like 10 times because it was so pretty.

My youngest daughter is "fearfully and wonderfully made", and I am certain of that because she was conceived after I had three consecutive miscarriages. It makes her life that much sweeter, just knowing what came ahead, and the trials we faced in order to have this precious child on earth with us.

Jacob was wonderfully made to have his daddy's hands. He had long fingers, with square-ish, flat fingernails...just like his dad. He had the cutest little mouth, and I kissed his cool lips so many times. He was perfectly formed, just small, since I was only beginning my 8th month of pregnancy. He was wonderfully made, because when I saw him, I felt like I'd known him forever. I feel like some part of me had.
