Wave of Light & Balloon Release

After work today, I stopped by a local florist to pick up some balloons to release to honor all the babies that have been lost and loved. I picked a pink balloon to remember all the baby girls, a blue balloon to remember all the baby boys, and a white balloon for babies whose gender was unknown.

Once Anthony got off of work we went outside in our back yard and released the balloons all tied together.

At 7 pm EST, I lit candles to remember our babies as part of the Wave of Light and let them burn for over a hour.

This candle holds a special place in my heart. It is the candle that was lit at Jordan's memorial last June. I lit this candle tonight to remember all of my mommy friends who have lost their babies.

I lit this candle in honor of my daughter, Carleigh McKenna.

I lit this candle in honor of my angel, Jordan Leigh.

Together, these candles burned in a beautiful display in our bedroom. The room held a warm glow and the soft scent of vanilla. It was peaceful.

Precious babies, we remember you now and always. You are close in our thoughts and always in our hearts. We will never forget you. We love you and wait for the day when we will meet again.

what a beautiful tribute. I love the balloon for the babies whose genders were unknown, like my first. Thank you for honoring all the babies this way. Your sweet children were in my prayers as we lit a candle at Peyton's grave tonight.

Very Beautiful! This was the first year that I knew about the Wave of Light and I am so glad to have found out about it. It was very emotional for me as I sat a watched all 4 of my candles flickering in my bedroom, but peacefull as well.
