Happy weather & Happy Moment winner

Do you ever notice that when the weather is nicer your mood is better? Today the weather was incredible!! It was near 70 degrees F today with the sun shining brightly and the wind blowing lightly. It was just wonderful to walk out of work and be greeted by the warm sunshine and the colors of fall. It was so nice that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go visit Carleigh.

It was so cute, when I asked Kyndra if she wanted to go see sissy she said in an excited voice, "Yeeeeaaah!" I just love how she knows which stone is Carleigh's. She always heads to it first and spends a few moments there. She even gave her stone a hug without me telling her too! Kyndra then went exploring around the cemetery and I came across 2 baby graves. One from 1992 and one from 1998. They actually aren't too far from Carleigh. It's nice to know that there are a few babies not too far from her. It makes me think they can keep each other company. :)

I held her in the back seat of the car and she reached up and was playing with my hair and smiling..WHILE having a seizure (at this point it was just starting) she was so sweet and so precious.. when we got there she worsened and was never herself again.. but that last moment when she recognized me, its the best..."

Jen, please email me your contact information and what you would like the sterling silver bead to be personalized with at caring4carleigh@yahoo.com and I will forward the information to Sue and she will get your bracelet to you.

Thank you to everyone who shared their happy moments. I enjoyed reading every one of them!

Hey, guess what! I am sneaking another giveaway in right now!! This giveaway is also from My Forever Child and it is for a Pregnancy-Infant Loss Support Ribbon Suncatcher. Suncatchers are perfect for hanging in your car. Both my husband and I have one and have put them in our cars. There is nothing special you have to do for this giveaway except for leaving a comment telling me you want to be entered. This giveaway will end tomorrow at 5 pm!! So this giveaway is only for the next 24 hours!!

And in case you are wondering, "why all the giveaways?" Because as a babylost mom, you deserve something special and I thought Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month would be the perfect time to give away items to help remember your baby and to thank you for all of your support! Please watch out for even more giveaways too! There aren't many days left in October and I have to fit them all in!! Remember that God loves you and so do I!!!

Hi ... I just wanted you to know that I have been thinking alot about you for a while now and praying for you and every mother who has lost a child. My heart just grieves for each and everyone of you. I would like to be in this give a way because I would like to have something that everytime I see it I could say a prayer for Jesus to hold each of your babies and each of your hearts close and to heal and be comforted in any way possible.
A friend of mine has a boy that just turned 3 and one of his friends passed away from complications of samanila (sp?) posioning.... At church while watching some children sleep yesterday a song came on and it said "they are only little for a little while" We never know what tomorrow brings. I pray that your tomorrow brings comforting from Christ himself.

wow, the happy moment shared here was just beautiful. So moving. I think it was her daughter's gift to her, that last happy moment together.

I love the stories of you and kyndra visiting carleigh's grave. I had the same feeling today, I wanted to share the beauty of the day and the weather and the leaves with Peyton. It is so comforting being near her for my visits to her spot. I think it is sweet to think of those babies playing with carleigh, each looking down together talking about the people coming to visit them... carleigh is the luckiest though, she gets visits AND hugs from her big sister. Sending you hugs and love.

I would love to be entered too. Giveaways are fun, they add a little excitement to our days :)

You are so sweet and I would love to be entered in your giveaway. I wanted to tell you that I just cried and cried at your videos last week of Kyndra kissing Carleigh's headstone. That was the sweetest sisterly love I have ever seen.Glad your day was better.
Blessings, Sarita

I AGREE about the weather thing---I am always grumpy on cloudy, rainy days...and when the sun is shining, I am motivated and happy(for the most part!)

I think it is great you are doing the giveaways this month----you are a true inspiration and have such a kind heart!

Glad it was a nice day for you and you had a good visit. I also think that's so neat that Kyndra knows which one is Sissy's and giving it a hug to.

I love how my mood gets so much better when the weather is nicer. I'd love to be entered int he giveaway. I've been super busy getting stuff situated between moving and going to a wedding over the weekend and sprucing up their pictures since their photog was only there for an hour instead of the 6 they paid for.

I would love to enter this giveaway. I lost 5 babies in the last couple of years due to miscarriage and although I know that they are in a better place I long to hold them. I try every day to do things to remember them and not the losses. My goal next year is to create a special Prayer Garden for all to see. Although my children might be nameless they are still my children and I believe need to be remembered!

Thanks for doing this. I always love reading how good or bad you are doing. Thank you for sharing with us.

I would like to be entered in the contest, I think it would be really awesome to have a suncatcher to remind me of all the Angels my son is playing and swimming with.

Also, I wanted to say that you sharing Kyndra's and your adventure to see her sister was an incredbibly heartfelt story. I would LOVE to have someone besides myself to share the loss, and love; of my son with for eternity. But, men greive very differently; and my husband (the only who I could connect to through this) would rather forget about him, than experience happy moments of his life all the time. My son was not buried, although sometimes I wish I could cherrish a headstone. Beautiful and heart melting story.

By the way, when the weather is bad; I have better mood- but I've always been much different than everyone else. LOL. I love the walking in the rain, because no one can see me cry. Rain honestly makes me So happy, I love the smell, and the beautiful skyes after rain, before rain, and during rain.I just wanted to share that.

Also, you are an amazing woman; full of a strength many only hope for. You are doing a beautiful, and wonderful thing by helping other greiveing parents go through something you had the sad opprotunity to experience. I commend you for making a terrible event into a heartfelt and compassionate way of helping other.

That is so sweet of you to be giving away all those gifts! I would love to have a chance to win :)
My kids like going to visit their sister too... I'm still really struggling with the thought of her being under that ground... But somehow once I get there I feel much more peaceful when I am with her, at her grave. I'm shocked by the number of infant graves in our cemetary, there are so many and it breaks my heart for all those families.

Congratulations Jen, I'm glad you won! I went over to My Forever Child, they have beautiful items.
How sweet of you Holly to do the giveaways. I agree with the weather helping your day. Even I notice a difference in myself. Our summer was so hot, this fall weather just makes me want to get outside. How sweet Kyndra is. Take care & God Bless.

I'm so glad you are feeling a bit better. It's so moment to moment, isn't it? I know I've told you this before, but you are amazing! You express your grief in such a beautiful way and do such a wonderful job of honoring Carleigh with your actions.

I am with you...sunshine and warmth do wonders for my mood! Thank you for this sweet post about the love between two sisters. I would love to be entered into the suncatcher giveaway. Can't believe I missed the other...and an opportunity to share a happy moment about my time with my sweet babes.

So...if you don't mind, I'd like to share them here, anyway! =)

My happy moments with Faith and Grace were watching them on the ultrasound screen as Faith sucked her thumb quietly and Grace swam wildly about. And, of course, as my labor began and the first snowflakes fell silently out the window.

My two favorite Thomas moments are when he opened his eyes to look up at my for a brief moment. And, the joy of singing to him as he left my arms and went straight to the arms of Jesus.

Thanks for letting me share, even though I'm too late. And...thanks for your beautiful heart for grieving moms.

Love you...
