Day 4 of Capture Your Grief has us sharing a picture of something that relates to your baby/babies that your treasure the most.
There are so many things attached to Carleigh that are precious to me. I keep all those things in her memory chest.
I would have to say though that it is the pictures we have of her that are are most precious to me. I can look back on the moments we had with her. I can see how she looked. I can see the emotions we felt. They are proof to the outside world that she was here and that we loved her.
I know that in time my memory of those moments will fade and I won’t remember how it was like I used to. These photos allow me to go back to that brief time with her. They also make me wish I could experience it again.
I keep these photos in a fire and water proof safe in hopes to keep them safe if anything would happen to our home.
For Jordan, my most treasured item is a copy of the plaque that we placed at the National Memorial for the Unborn in October 2008.
