On July 19th, we made a visit our to the cemetery so that I could put some flowers in the vase on Carleigh's headstone. The vase had been put up just a few days earlier. The visit was the first for my step-daughter, Hannah. She was with us for about 6 weeks for the summer and we made the visit before she left. I wanted to share some pictures that my father-in-law took.

Those are very nice picture to cherish. The ones with your hands on the headstone and Kyndra standing in front of it are both very sweet. I am glad that Hannah seemed to handle the visit well.
I love seeing how supportive your husband is of your grief. I'm jealous, and a the same time so grateful he's a comfort to you.
The flowers are beautiful...
Precious photos, Holly. The ones with all of your hands on Carleigh....wow. Beautiful. So glad you have them.
Precious pictures! It looks like Hannah did so well. I bet you're proud of her. Your pictures are sweet but heartbreaking. I think it's great you take Kendra with you so Carleigh can continue to be a part of her life. Wyatt is very much a daily part of our family's life as well.
Holly those pictures tell the story well,...Heartbreak, Hope, and Healing. You are on that journey and you will make it through.
Six months is such a short time and your loss is still so fresh, and so is the pain. My heart goes out to you and your husband and family.
Praying for all of you. {{HUGS}}

I agree those pictures are beautiful and special. You have a beatiful family.
Those are gorgeous pictures, what beautiful keepsakes. I especially love the ones with Kyndra running her fingers over Carleigh's name.
What precious photos of you all visiting Carleigh....... I especially love the one with all of your hands.
I'm glad Hannah got to go. I know it was a solemn occasion but the picture of Kyndra using Carleigh's headstone as a seat made me smile. ~Debbie

beautiful pictures. thank you for sharing with us.
These pictures are beautiful and so heart breaking to me. I can't begin to imagine how difficult it is for you. I am so sorry that you must visit your daughter there. I want so much for her to be in your arms. But let me say that her stone is beautiful and you are doing a wonderful job loving and honoring her. God Bless You.
Thank you for sharing your pictures with us.... they're very nice.
I love that the whole family went to visit Carleigh. The pictures are beautiful.

Holly - Thank you for sharing your pictures.
Your blog posts the last few months prompted my husband and I into looking into a headstone for our babies as well. It has been so many years, and I had let it go by without pursuing that.
Your pictures today were another reminder how good it can be to remember.
Thank you again.
Beautiful pictures...love the ones with Kyndra tracing the letters on Carleigh's headstone. Thanks for sharing.
Although I wish upon wish that you didn't have to go to the cemetery to visit Carleigh, I do agree that these are some beautiful photos to cherish. We always included our children on cemetery visits to see their sister's grave. Death is a part of life and we all have to learn about it.Kyndra's hands are so sweet , "tracing" Carleigh's letters with her baby hands. Often times grieving fathers are ignored - I want you to know that I pray for you and Anthony both during this tough time in your lives.
Blessings, Sarita
