Day 6 ~ Capture Your Grief

Ritual: Do you have any rituals to help get you through the day? Maybe it is a daily affirmation or prayer. It could be that you light a candle or recite a mantra etc. Do you do anything meaningful on special dates for your baby?

Every year on Carleigh’s birthday one of the special things we do is celebrate the end of the day with a cake that was made for her. It is something I look forward to as I get to decide what the cake will look like and I always want it to be something special. It’s the one splurge I make every year just for her.

Remembering this holiday season

Remembering and missing my babies and my niece this holiday season and also remembering all the precious babies of the wonderful friends I have met.

Happy Halloween & winners

A Happy Halloween to everyone! Not much going on for me. I worked today and I'm alone until late this evening as Anthony and Kyndra went to visit his grandpa as it prolly won't be long before he leaves us. Even our dog Coalee is with them. So unless the mouse that has been hiding somewhere in our house decides to come out it should be pretty uneventful.

Please keep my friend Lisette and her family in your prayers. She gave birth to her daughter, Sami, on October 26th and was able to spend 1 hour and 40 minutes with her before she passed into Heaven. If you would, please head over to Sami's blog and offer some support. I know she'd appreciate it. ♥

During this month of Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness, do you know what I am thankful for? The community of moms that support each other through the good times and the bad times. When I arrived home from visiting Carleigh at the cemetery, I noticed a monarch butterfly dancing around my butterfly bush. It went neatly from flower to flower and I was able to get a picture of it spreading its wings. Then it floated down to me and went past and off into the sky. It reminded me of all you special moms out there.

I found a little quote just flipping through a magazine the other day that struck me and reminded me of this community.

We laugh, cry, talk, listen, and understand each other. We share the same memories...there is no family like ours.

This isn't necessarily a giveaway per se but just something I'd like to do for someone in remembrance of their baby this month. If you scroll down to the bottom of Carleigh's blog you will notice a video. I would like to put one of these together for one of you. If you are interested, just leave a comment and let me know. This is open until Tuesday at 8 pm EST and then I will randomly select a person.
