25 Days of Giveaways

This is my 3rd year participating in the 25 Days of Giveaways and I’m excited to be doing this again. Thank you Tina at Living without Sophia and Ellie for hosting this wonderful event. I always jump at the opportunity to have a giveaway because I enjoy them so much! This year I decided to give away things from some of my favorite shops (in no particular order).

Giveaway #1

image
My first favorite shop is My Forever Child. Sue has so many pieces to offer and if you don’t see something you like just let her know and she’ll work with you to create what you envision. (I’ve worked with her several times on pieces for my friends and she has done a fabulous job!) I have many pieces that I have come to cherish from here, especially my custom hand/footprint jewelry. I’ve also given away many pieces here on this blog. I believe that every mom should have a piece of memorial jewelry to remember her child whether it be a ring, bracelet, pin, or necklace. So I would like to give away a $10 gift certificate to My Forever Child.

Giveaway #2

Giveaway #4

iusb_760x100.8259170
My second favorite shop is The Midnight Orange. D. Antonia is a wonderful sculptor and friend and her pieces are just gorgeous. I got my first piece back in 2009 but didn’t become an active collector until March 2011. I honestly don’t know why I waited so long because I love collecting them! I know many people who also admire her work but have yet to get one. D. Antonia has generously donated a $10 gift certificate to The Midnight Orange. Thank you so much!!

Giveaway #5

iusb_760x100.8259170
This sculpture from The Midnight Orange is called To Safe Passage and I actually purchased this as part of my personal collection but I would like to pass it on to someone else as I plan to get a purple one in the future. The description of this piece is from D. Antonia, “Swans represent a lot of different things to me. For these pieces I want to depict that they are carrying these babies from this world to the next. I find the sorrow in their posture and their silent grace are perfect for their special passengers.”

Giveaway #6

iusb_760x100.7013879
My third favorite shop is owned by my friend Katy. She has generously donated a $10 gift certificate to her shop Somewhere Over The Rainbow. This shop offers a variety of items pregnancy and infant loss items and I personally have the Custom Baby Memorial Plaque and the Wooden Memory Box. Thank you Katy!

Giveaway #7

iusb_760x100.9054545
My fourth favorite shop is Mountin Designs. This shop has items related to loss such as memorial stepping stones, wall art, and ornaments. My personal favorite is the stepping stones. I just love them and one day I want to get one for myself. I am giving away a $10 gift certificate to Mountin Designs.

Giveaway #8

iusb_760x100.8557039
My fifth favorite shop is MoonlightAura. Krystal specializes in sign language sculptures and her designs are very unique. She has several sculptures that I believe really reflect loss, such as her Heart-Shaped Hands Sculpts. Her Butterfly Landing Sculpture is also precious. One of my favorite pieces from her shop (and that I also own) is her I Love You sign language sculpture. I am giving away a pearl and a silver I Love You sign language sculptures similar to the ones picture below.

Giveaway #9

iusb_760x100.9153461

My sixth favorite shop is Best Art Studios. I just love this art shop and while I haven’t bought anything for myself yet I definitely plan to in the future. Jaime’s art is so unique and beautiful and I just love the trees that she paints. Her line Heartache and Poetry is very moving and I find I can relate it directly to losing a child. (And I love it when they have their 50% off sales!) I am giving away a $10 gift certificate to Best Art Studios.

Wow Holly! What a wonderful giveaway! Thank you for being so generous and offering so many great items!
My favorite memory was first meeting my daughter Laken. When she was placed into my arms, I remember the nurse saying here you go mama. So many mixed emotions, but that moment I will never forget! <3

My favourite memory is during the pregnancy, before I knew how sick my daughter was. Feeling her move for the first time and seeing her on ultrasound. She was my first baby and it was so exciting, I was blissfully happy and naive.

A very generous giveaway, thank you for the chance.

My favorite memory is finding out that Lily was a girl. We still laugh about that day because we had been told that she was a boy at 16 weeks by one of those 4D places so at 19 weeks (and some change) we went to our anatomy scan where we found out she was a girl! Oh, we laughed and laughed!

Your giveaway is super generous, Holly!

During our 20hands week u/s it tookbthe tech about 20 minutes to get the measurements of Jordan s heart cause he was rolling around! We laughed so hard that he was moving so much!

Wow, what a great giveaway! I like everything you have posted. I gasped though at the ILY sign, since I'm deaf. :)

I don't have very many (good) memories of my little girl. I guess my favorite memory is when she kicked me very hard just once a couple weeks before she died. Of course my other favorite memory is finding out I was pregnant in the first place. Oh and seeing her on the ultrasound for the first time was amazing too!

Although I'm not technically a BLM, I did lose my 5 year old in November of 2009. This Christmas will be our 3rd without him and I've pretty much turned into a scrooge this year.

I have so many wonderful memories of Erik, but the one that stands out the most right now is how country he was. He had the perfect country twang, loved all country music and was the cutest country boy I had ever laid my eyes on. He lived in his cowboy boots and wore them every.single.day.

Thank you so much for doing these awesome giveaways!!!

Wow Holly, thank you for all the great giveaways! One of my favorite memories with Dylan was being able to take him out to the garden in the hospital and having some time outside of the tiny hospital room that we were in.

It was great!

Oh wow Holly, look at all those giveaways!! Go you!!! You'll definately be bringing a bit of happiness to lots of people this Christmas :)
I know this is obvious, but every memory I have of Freja is a favorite and is cherished so deeply. I could sit here and write all day about our time with her, because it is so hard to choose just one moment. I loved when she would be fussing and I would pick her up out of her incubator (or bed, once she got switched to one) and she would calm down instantly as soon as I placed her on my chest. I also loved how she knew my voice and as soon as I would speak she would open her eyes and look at me.

My favorite memory was finding out they were twins. The ultrasound tech kept flipping back and forth and I thought, "that's funny, she can see mirror images of the baby..." Nope. It was two little boys. They would be 3 and 1/2 this year.

One of my favorite memories of River is studying his long fingers and big feet. We dreamed he would play piano or football someday.

Thank you, Holly for this amazing giveaway! So glad to have met you, dear friend.

GOd has blessed you with such a giving heart....He trully has. My favorite memory with Bethany Hope was falling asleep with her. I had dressed her and I remember wrapping her tightly and holding her close to me. I sank down in the bed and held her close to my face. I kissed her and I prayed that it was all a bad dream...we drifted off to sleep. When I woke up, I realized she was not going to wake up. I kissed her again and I knew God was going to take care of us!

One of my favorite memories of Alexander was my husband talking to him and giving him advice on what it is to be a man while Alexander listened inside my womb.

My favorite memory of my angel was one day when her nurses were flipping her over. After she'd been flipped (which looks a lot like flipping a baked potato) she opened her eyes a tiny crack and gave the nurse the DIRTIEST look I've ever seen. LOL

My favorite memory of Mikayla was holding her for the first time and when we got to take NILMDTS pics and all the tubes had been removed. My favorite memory of Chase was the day we found out we were expecting him, he brought me so much hope for the few weeks he was with me.

Sarah said...

My favorite memory would be holding our Parker for the first time. I didn't get to hold him until 48 hours after his birth, becuase of how sick he was and it was an emergancy c-section. Even though he had a ventilator and 100 other wires and tubes he was the most beautiful baby i had ever seen, and i noticed how much he looks like his dad.

Thank you for hosting such an amazing giveaway!

My favorite memory is all 3 of my positive pregnancy tests and when I found out we were having twins (sadly we lost one but I am still pregnant with the other). Thank you so much for the giveaway - I love ways to remember my Riley (2/11/10) Peyton (8/19/10) and Cameron (10/14/11).
Hope you have a peaceful Christmas!

Holly, God has blessed you with such a generous heart, and you are such a beautiful reminder of His love in the babyloss community. Thank you.

One of my favourite memories with Sebastian is when he was still alive, maybe at about 30 weeks gestation. My husband was playing Band Hero Metallica on the Wii with my 3 living children. We all love Metallica. I was lying watching them, reclined on our sofa. Sebastian was moving and dancing around so much that day - the most he ever did! We said he must have had good taste in music. We laughed a lot that day. It was so nice to have a few special memories in my pregnancy as I never met him alive.

I would love the midnight orange voucher. That's something I could have told my husband to get me for Christmas - had I thought about it!! I have enjoyed looking at the other shops too, thank you!

Holly! You are the sweetest!!
Favorite memories of Sebastion...of course...feeling him move, and watching his big sister give my belly hugs and kisses:) But I will NEVER forget the moment when I held him, and how perfect and precious his little body and face were.
Thanks again for all the giveaways!!

Wow I'm loving all these give aways ! My favorite memory of my angels , which is sometimes bitter sweet is how they all in some way looked more like there dad than me, like when I think of them I always remember how they all had his nose. I mean as tiny as they were to be able to make out their features so distinctly still amazes me.

The only good memories I have of my babies I lost, is finding out I was pregnant. Shortly after that we lost them. If I won, I would pass it on to my friend who lost their baby ti Trisomy 18 at the beginning of the year.

Wow, what amazing giveaways! My favorite memory of Shyla was how gently she moved. It felt like a ballet compared to my first child (a boy who felt like he was karate chopping my insides!). My favorite memory of Jakin was the Sunday before he passed, he was just started to move enough that I could feel him really well and had already been diagnosed with a heart condition. During church that Sunday he moved and moved and moved during praise and worship.

My favorite memory with Hunter and Heather is before I knew I was expecting twins I could feel them kick at the same time, but in different spots and some how I just new...but the excitement was short lived as I miscarried them alittle over 13 weeks.
One of my favoite memories with Emily is when Raymond placed her in my arms and she raised her right arm/shoulder to let me know she was alive because the nurse had told me she was already gone, but she wasn't! These are beautiful giveaways thank you for the chance to win one of these lovely items.I hope you have a blessed CHRISTmas and a wonderful New Year.

My favorite memory of Lily is holding her for the first time and seeing how perfect she was and being totally amazed that God knit together this life within me. I've missed the blogging world :)

Wow, Holly! I am always in awe of your generosity. When I saw that you were giving away items from your favorite Web site, I was just waiting until you got to TMO. ;)

My favorite memories of my babies happened after I had lost them, actually. How through their lives and my losses I have changed so profoundly. But while I was pregnant with them, I remember saying with my first how I didn't want to wait to share the news until a 'safe' amount of time had passed. That if I were to miscarry (which I did, well beyond the 'safe' time) I had no intention of keeping it a secret; I would need support. And with my second baby, when I consciously decided to be thankful for every day I had with that baby. I wanted to be grateful, not fearful (though there was definitely some of that, too).

Big Love, Big Acceptance - or so I say said...

Wow - thanks for such lovely giveaways!

One of my favorite memories with my daughter, Acacia, was going into her private NICU room around 2:00 am one morning when I woke up (she was born with trisomy 18 and lived 2 1/2 days). The whole hospital was quiet and no one else was in her room. It was just me and her. It was a sweet time shared between the two of us.

Thanks for hosting!

Blessings to you and yours this holiday season!

Wow, lovely lady...this is amazing! Thank you so much for hosting a day. Your heart and gift for giving has no bounds, that's for sure. Anyways, one of my very vivid memories of Kennedy was the first time I held my hand on my tummy and started talking to her through all the sickness that we both experienced. I remember saying, "We're going to make it through this, baby girl." Despite how sick I was, I know that it was probably one of the first times I really believed I was pregnant with her. Oh, how I wish I had those days back... Sending hugs, dear friend. <3 <3

Holly your genorosity knows no limits!

One of my favorite memories is after we gave her her first and only bath and my husband stepped away and Lilly opened her eyes and we stared at each other.

I loved how active George was during my pregnancy. He would kick and move and flip around with such force. We took our three boys to see Great Big Sea in concert the December before George was born in May and he was so very active during their performance. It makes me happy to think he heard such wonderful music alongside his big brothers. We put their song England (St. George is patron saint of England) on his CD of songs. Thank you for hosting the giveaway and offering so many lovely items.

Meeting her for the first time and discovering her dark red eyelashes, chubby cheeks (even though she only weighed 3 lbs) and dimpled hands, long skinny feet, and those sweet little squeaks and coos that sounded like no other baby I'd ever met.... but above all, experiencing the peace we felt when we met her. 8 months ago tomorrow.

My favorite thing about Meredith was that she was the baby girl I wanted (didn't know her gender before birth). I truly wish I had more memories of her life, but I don't. Thanks for having all these giveaways!

Holy Giveaway is right! You are so awesome, Holly. Very sweet of you to put so much together. How do I pick a favorite memory? Every single memory is wonderful. I loved being pregnant. I guess I would say that is my favorite- feeling Ella grow inside of me, feeling her move. Making plans with great anticipation. Learning she was a girl... Sending love for Jordan and Carleigh.

Beautiful giveaways, Holly!

My favorite memory of Sydney is just after she was born. She was placed in my arms and my husband and I were talking to her. I was kissing her and stroking her arm. I guess she didn't like it, because as I was rubbing her upper arm, she jerked it away from me! LOL It was so funny and showed us that she had a feisty personality like her sisters.

I am entering this giveaway on behalf of my cousin Beccy - a BLM. Her dughter Josephine was born sleeping 3 years ago, and in September this year she lost her 2 year old son Liam in a dreadful accident on their farm. I would love to arrange a piece of jewellry or ornament for her - she is in New Zealand, I am in the UK. It's so far away and I feel that there is so little that I can do to support her as she is really really struggling this Christmas.

I actually have two perfect memories of Jeremiah. The first is while I was pregnant. I loved feeling his kicks. He was such an active baby and the second was caressing his face when I held him for the first time.

Thank you for hosting such great giveways!

My favorite memory of my son Noah was when he came out crying (we had been told he would die during labor and he lived 9 hours). It was such a sweet sound!! And he recognized his siblings voices and quieted down when they talked to him.

Thank you for your generous giveaway!!

One of my favorite memories of my Jonathan...after my hubby left to go bring the children back to the hospital so they could "meet" their brother. I just sat their and hugged his precious little body, and talking to him about how much he was loved. Bittersweet, but beautiful, as it was honestly my last private moments with him, so I treasure those memories.

Thank you for this Holly!

But I do remember the day I found out I was pregnant again. I was so excited. Christmas can be bitter sweet but to think about Christmas in Heaven how amazing that will be!
