Birthday post #5 - Writing messages to Carleigh

One of the things we did for Carleigh's 1st birthday was to write messages for her on cards and send them up when we did a balloon release at the cemetery. I actually had these cards made months ago when I won a giveaway from Uprinting for 100 free cards. The photo is one of her Say It With Flowers pics.

Everyone who was present for the party wrote out a message to Carleigh and tied it to a balloon. We had lots of balloons so there were plenty to choose from! (And in case you haven't noticed already from the pics I've shared Anthony, me, and the girls wore purple for Carleigh that day.)

This is the card that everyone wrote on.

My mom writing out her card.

Our friend Karrie writing and her son Austin watching.

Ben making sure his card is just right!!

My father-in-law, Bud, writing his card. (My brother-in-law, Rob, and nephew Braxton is in the background.)

Cousin Malia doing her card. You can only see her hands. :)

My mom tying her card to a balloon while Kyndra sits on her lap.

Anthony and I writing our cards.

This is so touching, Holly. I wonder if anyone has found any of the cards? If they did, they must know that a special baby named Carleigh is so very loved.

Wow, I have tears in my eyes, this post was so touching. I am so glad you shared this with us. Your husband's note started the tears. What a sweet note! I'm sure Carleigh has read every single one :)
