3 things you didn't know about Carleigh

This week on the MckLinky blog hop we are sharing '3 things you didn't about know me', but for Carleigh's blog I'd like to share 3 things you may not know about her.

1) She had such little ears but they were different from each other. They didn't match at all. It was like they belonged to two different people yet they were uniquely hers.

2) Her pinky fingers were a little crooked. It is a trait in Anthony's family that his brother and him share. They've passed it down to their children and Carleigh was no exception!

3) She had more hair on her head than Kyndra had when she was born. Really! She had quite a bit of hair and it had a blondish tint to it. So I think she would've had blonde hair like her sister.

Favorite Photo

This week's theme on the MckLinky blog hop is A Favorite Photograph. Post up one of your favorite photographs and a caption that tells the audience about it.

My most recent favorite photo is one that I received on Saturday. It is one of my NILMDTS photos and it is me holding Carleigh on March 28, 2009-the day she was born. I love her and miss her so much! I feel so blessed to have been given such a special daughter.

MckLinky

I'm participating in the MckLinky Blog Hop. So what is this blog about?

I created this blog to chronicle our journey with our daughter Carleigh, who was diagnosed with anencephaly December 15, 2008. She was born still March 28, 2009. Through my blog I kept family and friends updated on our progress through my pregnancy and now I use it to remember her and to reach out to other families. I hope that my journey can help someone facing the same or a similar situation. To God be the glory!

Read With Us

Welcome to Read With Us at Caring for Carleigh. This reading group started after my blog readers and I read the book I'll Hold You In Heaven together and answered questions relating to it. Many of those that participated in the original reading expressed interest in doing more readings together. So here we are!

Each book that is read is picked by a majority vote for those who are participating. Everyone who participates is expected to obtain their own book for reading, whether it is borrowed or bought. Sometimes a giveaway may be held in which you could win the book.

Once most everyone has their book the reading will begin. The structure of each book reading will depend on the book itself. The length of each reading time for chapters is determined by chapter length and will be specific for each book read. I will post all the information for the reading before the reading begins for each book.

Questions for each book are made up by me and can be answered through a comment on the post or on your own blog and linked to mine via MckLinky. I encourage you to post your own thoughts and discussion about the books along with the questions. Reading of the books will always begin at the beginning of the week. I will post any questions and my discussion as soon as possible.

Any questions regarding the reading group Read With Us can be emailed to me at caring4carleigh@yahoo.com.

Thank you to all who participate in the readings!
