Anyways, the other night I was praying with my husband and thanking Heavenly Father for our two boys, the baby in my stomach, and I thanked Him for the time that we got to spend with Emma. It really was and continues to be a huge blessing in my life, despite the fact that she was born still.Tiffanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06615333474926803532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3142944844041536061.post-10954678239268225022009-08-05T18:29:24.496-04:002009-08-05T18:29:24.496-04:00So glad you found someone you could talk a bit to...So glad you found someone you could talk a bit to! You know, I was kinda wondering about something, and maybe you can help me. For those who have never experience the loss of a child, it's hard to fully understand what that's like. Do you have any suggestions for things that would be the right thing to do? I know that might sound like a stupid question but after reading this post and some of Trisha's I think maybe I don't really know how I could be helpful if I ever met anyone IRL who lost a child. What is the "right" way to be there for someone?Veronicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10661962552592158223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3142944844041536061.post-66238096613539028222009-08-05T14:39:46.969-04:002009-08-05T14:39:46.969-04:00How very true. I wouldn't have traded the time I got with Wyatt for anything in the world... inside or outside of me!

People get uncomfortable when I talk about Wyatt as well... However, I am uncomfortable NOT mentioning him when I am asked about my family. I would much rather make someone uncomfortable and honor my son by including him in our family, then biting my tongue out of fear for the way a person will react.

I am so glad you had a good encounter with the nurse... While I've got no clue of your hearache, I did lose my Dad to suicide almost 15 years ago. I love love love to talk about him. I know that when I tell them that he's in heaven they will struggle for words. I know that they will feel bad that they asked. I really do feel sorry for them. But this is my life. Nate is my son. I want to talk about him. He counts!

I hate that it's thought of as taboo to talk about your dead baby. It's your baby whether they are here or in heaven. I hope that by us talking about our babies it will teach others that it's okay -- they don't have to ignore us because our baby died.

TrishaTrisha Larsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02426915708825675793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3142944844041536061.post-31505950115907981402009-08-05T10:19:27.477-04:002009-08-05T10:19:27.477-04:00Holly, how sweet that someone would have that pers...Holly, how sweet that someone would have that perspective and not shy away from speaking to you about Carleigh. I have yet to encounter anyone that has more than a morbid curiosity in Noah. They want to hear about his defect and they want to hear how he passed. I never get the questions of what our time with him was like. It's one of the reasons I am so frustrated with my IRL friends and family at the moment. I only have 2 people outside of my husband & kids who treat me normally and yet willingly sit and listen when I want to talk about Noah. They only ask questions pertaining to what I'm talking about and never offer anything other than their ears and hearts. I LOVE that! I wish more people would understand that that is really all we need.Celiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01693462964633943684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3142944844041536061.post-47009059488187839502009-08-05T10:19:03.952-04:002009-08-05T10:19:03.952-04:00makes perfect sense.
